Established in 2016, The Portola Pep Squad is built on the foundation of Portola's essential core values of Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Drive, and Empathy. These values aim to develop and strengthen our student athletes.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Portola Pep Squad is a year-round sport for all students in which the squad supports the Football and Basketball teams. In addition, the Portola Pep Squad offers a STUNT Team that is open to non-squad members and gives members the opportunity to compete against schools across Orange County.

COMMITMENT TO THE TEAM
The Pep Squad is a year-long commitment with practices 4 times a week from 2:30 - 4:30pm. During Football Season, the Pep Squad supports and attends games every Thursday (JV) and Friday (Varsity). Basketball Season games vary throughout January and February. Furthermore, STUNT tryouts and practices begin in December and the team begins game play in March.
Tryouts for the Pep Squad are held at end of April or early May and practices begin immediately after tryouts.
